Charm Person too powerful?

That actually sounds very magelike, goodgimp. balancewise, yeah probably too good. the Elohim world spell is just as bad in that regard.

What about swapping the positions of charm person and domination? or changing their effects and keeping the names where they are. Taking control of 1 enemy seems more noobish than going all Cult of Personality on an entire army.
 
Archmage should even prevent pillaging, possibly even the ability to defend.

But yes, it should probably have a 50% chance to wear off per turn (keeping current resist rate & target level) so that you can at best hope to cut 1/2 of the stack out of the attack for 1 turn.
 
I'd jack up the chance of the Charm wearing off from 5% to 50%.
