It's not just that its bad for you as detailed above, but when temperatures drop, it....solidifies and coagulates is the best way I can put it, and this in itself causes all manner of accidents, affects machinery, etc. Thank god the government has a pretty good stock of NaCl to help clear it up somewhat.

How has Minnesota acquired such a skill in mastering that stuff ?

I heard that the Russian figure skaters used this stuff in its solidified form to enhance their performance. I think this is grounds for them being stripped of their medals!
