Peace is pretty boring!

The barbs are about to overwhelm Melbourne. I suggest whoever plays next spends our treasury down to prevent it from falling into the barbarians hands.

Another settler is on the way to Australia or the Indies. Another is set to board ship near Korea. Should consider sending that one to South America. Probably should upgrade the ship first!

Ok, I played 20 turns. Not much happen. Here is the very brief summary. :)

1250AD - Pre-turn. Our Rider survived the attack! Woohoo!! :)

1295AD - Brudisium join the glorious chinese empire and we get a rifleman. :cool:

1300AD - Perth founded.

Nothing much happen in the 20 turns, we are now in the industrial age and just discovered railroad. We have one hell of a load of iron and only 1 source of coal! Once medicine is discovered we should quickly build up the population of the core city with hospital and then factory. Thats the only way to win this game if we ever win it. ;)

1360 AD - I've been working on the railroad ...
Trading our world map, wallstreet is being worked on, but low in cash.
Trade Babylon wm for a worker :) & $7. Cash now at $464.
Shave 2 turns of Medicine thanks to the Zulu for giving them incensce.
Begin research on Factories.
1365 AD - Quite late in the game, but I frag a barb camp for $25.
1370 AD - Cancel Incense to Germany for $5/t and Sell to Russia for $1/t, $30 and Sanitation!
1375 AD - Our first cities connect by rail, Yangchow and Bradenburg.
1380 AD - I've been working on the railroad ...
1385 AD - More map trading, cash now $797, Wall street in 9. We will get max interest effect.
1390 AD - Australlia is positively barbaric, frag another camp.
1395 AD - New Shanghia is formed. Another island spot with spices taken.
Next research project - Electricity. The Zulu's get it at the same time, and start suffrage.
1400 AD - Burn our cash to play the factory to suffrage gambit.
Maybe wall street won't do a lot at first. Down to $96, need to boast our cash.
Gain communism by giving babylon 20 turns of Iron.
Cash up to $105 & another worker from map trading.
1405 AD - I've been working on the railroad ...
1410 AD - Continue killing barbs in Australia.
1415 AD - I've been working on the railroad ...
1420 AD - Trade our excess SaltPeter to Russia for $16/t, $40, Electricy (saved 7 turns).

Not a bad job, Lee. The settler enroute to South America was a suggestion by donsig. ;)

Its good to see we are getting there. I will hold on for a day and see if anyone play. If not I will give it another go. :D

1465: Abe tries extorsion. We refuse and he backs down. New York grants universal suffrage. There are Egyptian and Zulu cities on the north coast of Australia.:(

1470-1490: Beijing switches to ToE! Science funding suspened. Rail building and barb bashing.

1495: We learn espionage from Bismark and teach him all about the scientific method.

1500: Build ToE (get replaceable parts and atomic theory). Science funding resumed.

The city building the palace can switch to Hoover Dam when it becomes available.

He still has money, so Incense for $16/t.
Cancel $1/t from Russia for Incense, pathetic.

while I can. I conect a new spice, and sell it to Zululand for $12/t, $160, wm.
1545 AD - New Xinjian is formed. It locks the Oil square in Australia.
1550 AD - War alert! War alert, war with Russia.
1555 AD - I kill 5 knights, 1 cosacks at no cost.
Sign an MPP with Germany at the cost of refining. Stupid Russians.
Gee, what a surprise, Germany declares war on Russia.
Palace expansion.
1560 AD - Don't delcare war on a country with cash. All of our upgrading riders heading toward

Russia. Results are I kill 4 knigths, 3 cosacks, at the cost of 2 calvary.

Summary - The continent has all infantry. Get infantry out to our colonies.
Send the settler to the New Canton island - it will give us another spice to trade.
The palace in Tsingato is a place holder for Hoover - Electronics in 5 turns

1565 AD: We note that Pharsalos has 3 oil. It becomes our number one objective. Kharkov is defended by infantry. We withdraw in favor of previously noted goal. Kill a Russian knight and longbow near Arbela.

1570: CIA (Chinese Intelligence Agency built) and an agent planted in Moscow. Chinese cavalry defeat Russian swordsmen and bowmen near Macao.

1575: The battle outside Macao continues and Sun Tsu appears!

1580: Forbidden Palace built in Kras.

1585: We get electronics.

1590: Svedlovsk has iron and coal. It becomes our second objective.

1595: Pharsalos captured and Qianlong appears. He forms an elite cavalry army.

Unreal, I have had GAMES without two leaders...

Despite EC1, B1, B2, Thrawn, LK15, LK16, Ger (world map), nothing came due :(

The only thing I could do today, close out LK14 anyone plays, and start LK17 anyone plays :(

Oh well, I have got it.
 
I wanted to play more turns but my computer kept freezing up.

Those leaders are the only ones we've had in this game so far. But we can build the military academy and heroic epic now.:)
 
I can understand computer problems :(

The machine I can play on right now is dragging between turns despite 384 mg memory and a P500.

Good, I was hoping it was just my old computer being overworked and not a problem with the game itself. This China is doing well and about to annex a good deal of Russia. I'd hate to see the game end now!

Trading make some bucks selling wm.
Save 1 turn on steel plus money with wines, get combustion & $25 for saltpeter / silks.
Russia is building the Dam.

1605 AD - In a pitiful display, our 2 elite calvary can't kill a knight. I think I know what my chance of a leader is... I then lose another calvary trying to kill a knight in the open.
Again bombing Riga - better luck, kill some people, the barracks.
Rush library in Tyre to culture squeeze Munich more.
Upgrade all units in Australia, we know have 4 vet infantry.
France declares war on us as part of an alliance with Russia. Hmm..., what does grenoble defended with?
Worker stolen near the border. Time to pull the borders back.
Indian refuses to accept the flip of Hong Kong.

1610 AD - New Chengdu is formed. We get another spice to trade.
New bombing target - Grenoble. Easier path to Sverdlovsk, and I hope to close the path that Russia keeps coming through. Plus it is closer to the FP. Barracks destroyed, some people killed.
Heroic Epic is completed.
Germany declares war on France.

1615 AD - I am really getting disgusted with Calvary that can't kill knights. Scratch another elite. :mad: 4 hp calvary can't kill 1 hp knight.
Our calvary army kills a infantry by Pharsalos, but it will be awhile for it to heal.
Lost another worker to France.

1620 AD - Turning Grenoble into a pile of rubble - One of these days...
The war gods are kind, we kill a pile of Russian units - our cost, 1 infantry can't kill a bowman.
The big question, what will that French stack of calvary / knights do?
The French at sending the stack of crap our way, yet we don't even have the units to attack it.
OK - The French need a diversion, so alliance with Greece for Coal and Steel.
We plant a spy in France - The French have 4 calvary, 4 knight. The stack we can see is just about it for reall attack units. As for Russia, a ton of infantry, but no knights.
The French stack by Macao begins to retreat. 3 French calvary are dead - impaling themselves on
Brundisum.
But a Russian hell knight takes, and razes it:mad:

Talk about playing both sides - Greece signs an alliance WITH Russia vs. Germany

1625 AD - A boring turn.

Summary - We are hurting for military. BIG TIME.
We need them tanks.
We need the fur by Macao reconnected!

I think China has the power to beef up it's military. We don't need alot from this war - only some cities around Kras - they'll be productive since the Forbiden Palace is there. We already snagged the 3 oil near Pharsalos. Sverdlovsk has both iron and coal so we could build the iron works there.

Glad we got to keep Hong Kong. We may have an 'Indian problem' some day though...
 
I've deleted the old screen shots and savs in an effort to conserve server space (which will help prevent downtime in the forum).:)

Anyone who has posted in this thread is welcome to do the same. ;)

Just don't delete our current sav!
