City Optimiser Development Thread!

The next version will be able to import rivers from the WbS which was not available in the first version!

Couple of bug fixes:

Copied plots will not be updated if the root plot is changed before paste.
Added FileFilters to File Choosers

and the first draft of the optimiser is finished, it isn't too great as it has an uncontrollable random aspect for the moment (the method I'm using can change order at will which affects equal weighted improvements)

Hammers per population when building units or buildings:
Quick: 15
Normal: 30
Epic: 45
Marathon: 90

When building world or national wonders:
Quick: 7.5
Normal: 15
Epic: 22.5
Marathon: 45

After multipliers are applied, the figure is rounded down to the nearest whole number. So a city building a world wonder on epic speed will get 22 hammers if it whips 1 population point, 45 hammers if it whips 2 population points, or 45 hammers if it whips 1 population point with access to stone.

Organised Religion doesn't boost the production of units.

While World Wonders get a 50% reduction to whip, I'm pretty sure National Wonders are only reduced to 66%

So to 1 decimal place the base whips are

Quick is 20, National 13.2, World 10
Normal is 30, National 20, World 15
Epic is 45, National 29.7, World 22.5
Marathon is 90, National 59.4, World 45

I just noticed you posting in the thread for Samsara's. What I think he did which you haven't is that what his program does is very clear from the initial posting. I had completely failed to pick up that you were working on automated optimisation, and that's much more useful than just fiddling with layouts.

So... I think I have the same comment I gave to Samsara; http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=11795250&postcount=13 - input health cap, happy cap, bonus food from other sources (corps, settled GMs), maximum useful specialists; and a relative value for hammers, commerce, and specialists.

relative values could be possible but not for the initial version  I will implement a new variable to my weighting equations that changes the weighting values of improvements based on the relative values. But it is really difficult to get right with an inteligent weighting system. :p I actually do ask them is they want to specialise in specialists (as opposed to saying food :D)

corporation food is a point, it will end up affecting the weighting of farms, the points you bring up here will be considered for version 3 :D
