City Placement Assistance?

Does anyone know of a tool that I can use to help me decide where to place my cities. I hate wasting space or using the same spot for two cities. Is there any program that could put place makers or something on the map that would show what spaces a city would take up? I know this sounds silly but it is a pet peeve of mine.

However, check out Dianthus' CRP Suite. The crpRings program is excellent for ring-city-placement for PTW and Civ.

It works for C3C, its just that the corruption model in C3C is different, so cities placed in 'rings' don't have the same benefits as they do in Civ / PTW.
