City production assessment/strategy (for unit builds)

This is an assessment of what our cities can build and how fast they can build it. I only included production up to 5 turns per unit. spt is the shields per turn that the city produces, and the units show the shield cost. The numbers below the units are how many turns a particular unit will be completed.

Why am I proposing this all-out build?

Because...

We're almost done with this behemoth of a game! I encourage all governors to think about this plan. In fact, it could even be a presidential plan put into action by a vote.

Suppose we went on an all-out panzer building spree.

After 10 turns:

With the top 5 cities - 25 panzers
With the top 10 cities - 40 panzers
With the top 15 cities - 65 panzers
With the top 20 cities - 76 panzers
With the top 25 cities - 86 panzers
With the top 30 cities - 96 panzers
"31st city" - 97 panzers

And this is on turn 10.

In 20 turns (we could add some "stragglers" to even it out to 100), we could have 200 tanks. That's like 400-600 individual units with blitz ability. Very potent combination. Just think of all the modern armor!

You could even add in Nagoya and Hakodate to round it out to about 100 tanks in 10 turns. (101 to be precise)
 
Looks realy good, but if we only produce Panzers, will the cities that produce them have enough city improvements to actualy continue to grow (hospitals)?

By the way, I want more Panzers!
 
We could alternate some builds later if we find we're winning big time. :) Or, use a cav to disband in one city, build a nice tank, and rush a hospital in the other.
 
I control 3 of the cities in the Top 15 list and 4 in total. I am already looking at build queues to insert many panzers.
But what about infantry? We need to control what we...err...liberate

Unless you also have a plan for this (which of course all the warmongers here will love :rolleyes: - yep I still say Let's give peace a chance! ) I will write up my instructions tomorrow, putting [insert military unit here] where I otherwise would have put either panzers or infantry.

Will we be using a strict blitz tactic, or a combined forces?

That's the general idea. We could also take some infantry from the interior cities if we had to. (This was done in DG1).
 
I really want to see those top 5-15 build hospitals. This would significantly increase the potential production of all those cities. They all should have marketplaces, and with our luxuries (20 total), happiness would not be a problem.

Besides, those top cities can produce their hospitals in around 5 turns (iirc). This certainly would not hurt us.
 
I am setting most of my cities to build hospitals, but not all at once. Hopefully there will be no more than 3-4 cities tied up in building hospitals and not tanks.
 
Kuhkaff and Bavaria currently have hospitals enqued. Starke will also get a hospital. These three are currently in the top 5. After hospitals + growth they will be 1, 2, 3 as they all have fantastic production terrain. After growth they will be able to produce panzers each turn.

So...how about adding workers to these fine cities to get that population up quick? North Province can contribute between 4-6 each chat.
 
Query: how much of our cash reserves are we willing to burn to get the hospitals rushed?
