Hey all,
I've been playing CIV for about 4 months or so and I swear that I am STILL getting my head around how complicated this game is - but that's a good thing
My question is this - I'm playing Noble with three other AIs on a big arcipeligo (sp) map. I have started out conservative on my cites, I had 4 of them, then went out to conquer Mao. I picked up a penninsula of his with 4 more cities on it and man - the number of hammers that a city produces varies incredibly.
I think Bejing produces 51 hammers or such each turn! And the city south of that produces something like 7. Even my cities (which I think I place well) don't produce nearly that many hammers, a high production city of mine might be low 30s.
Thoughts on this? As I said, I THINK I'm placing my cities well, I don't overfarm, I use mines where I can, and I use windmills / lumbermills / watermills where I can...

I'm playing a pretty big map with 4 players - if you have more players in a game, are there more resources? (This could be my issue)
