grace si errelevant dude nothign in civ 2 beats the wars in civ3 (and whats up with the caravans behign a good thing? they sucked no fun spending half your turn sending caravans all about especially in the middle of a war)

Caravans sucked, I agree, but inter-city trade was nice. Civ3 needs a system for that.

ya that might not be bad especially in thsoe very money heavy games and when your not a democracy it can be more than a little difficult to generate cash, of course it also would be a little less realistic considering that govornments dont control the commerce between cities.

No Ed it's not Deja-vu, i'm just going to tell all the good people reading this thread what i said on your civ 2 thread. THERE'S ONLY 20 VOTES! HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLE USE THAT AS AN ARGUEMENT THAT 17 IN FAVOR OF CIV 2 TO 3 IN FAVOR IN OF CIV 3(i voted so should all of you civ 3 enthusiasts) JUSTIFIES YOUR CLAIM? THERES ALMOST 1000 VOTES ON THIS THREAD! So lets be realistic people. Civ 3 is the better and more enjoyed game.

Sorry but when you talk of badly about civ 3 it just breaks my heart:cry: Didn't mean to make you upset;)

Seriously,,,

How can u call a game superior that you have to sit around during, for two minutes between three hundred and seventy-turns:crazyeye: :scan: :crazyeye: :scan: :crazyeye: :scan: :crazyeye:

The civ 2 AI may be dumber:cry:

but they sure are faster[dance]

Redundant, isn't it?

Civ1, Civ2, Civ3, whatever. I play a game as long as I enjoy it: the game I am currently playing is my favourite game, but this does not mean that I am going to trash the others.

To me, the pleasure is in the differences: it's good to try different game concepts, different strategies, to see different worlds and immerse oneself in different stories.

Give me the best game ever and nothing else, and after some time I will be bored to death with it.

It is very hard to go back to civ 1 or even 2 after you use civ 3 for a few months!!
