Civ 3 Gold - Computer locks up on launch.

Just got and installed Civ 3 Gold Edition and after installing, I go to launch the game. After doing so, my computer completely locks up and is unresponsive. Other than rebooting, I can't find any way to unlock it.

Windows XP
Pentium 4
Radeon 9550
Drivers are fully updated.

Uninstall and reinstall might be the best solution.

Already did that. Nothing changed. Still locks up on launch.

Can you install it on another machine. It could just be a bad CD.
