Is there any way to make a canal? I dont know how to if it can be created. I guess it would have the properties of a fort or a city that can be taken over but can be used by any civ or can be captured by enemy civs and can only extend so far. To add to that there should be a brigdge with similar properties
It could also be a terrain that lets both land and sea units pass through it.:crazyeyes
...ships can move through citys. if there is water on 2 sides of a city you can go in one and out the other.
this works more or less the same with units capable of carrying things
perhaps you could make your cannal a imoble airdrop unit with a transport hold
...o but wait do units have to be taged as carryable? might screw with the game in various sudtle ways. anyway im not shure it would work...but its an idea...just have your ships move onto a transport unit that happens to be on land
I dont supose anyone knows how to make new worker jobs? we can plant forest. maybe with a little coding we could turn a land square into water.
In Alpha Centauri you could raise and lower the 3-D terrain so if you wanted a cannal you just droped that square below sea level.
