Civ 3 Play the World CRASH

When playing Civ 3 Play the World under my win XP i've the message "Civilization3X.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.", just when i left the dialog with a another leader. I've already try the compatibility mode. Please help me.

My PC:
Win XP
Atlhon 800
512 Mb Ram
geforce 2 400 mx

Here's a fix:

1. Uninstall

2. Delete all PtW files from your computer

3. Buy the game when it's released instead.

This may not necessarily fix the bug, but it might give the right people an incentive to help you out.
