Civ 4 and GameSpy

Gamespy & Firaxis really have to find out what's happening with the logging in with civ 4 multiplayer. I can't get logged in to play. When I enter my existing gamespy id & password, (which I use in other games I play online), It tells me it isn't valid. I can play BF2 with my Gamespy id & password.....what the heck.

I had the same problem, but what i did was go to create new account on Civ4 and just put in my current gamespy user name and email address and password and it worked. Looks like first time you try to connect online you may need to do this. Since then no problems at all, give it a try mate!
