Civ 4 and Windows XP Media Center Edition

Is it safe to assume that Civ 4 will run on Windows XP Media Center Edition even though it is not listed to do so??? I am assuming WXPMCE is the same as Windows XP Home when it comes to compatability... any confirmation would be fantastic.

Yes it does run on media center edition. My buddy brought his media center rig over and we played all weekend. Online and over the LAN.

His system is a:

HP Pavillion
3.2 ghz p4
1gb ram
GeForce FX 5600 agp

If you have MCE and its not running its not the OS causing the issue.

thank God. I just bought a new comp to play this game. I cant afford much, so I got a Dell refurbished Dimension e510. It came with MCE. I didn't have a choice and it had the specs I wanted so I got it.

1 gb ram
256 mb nvidia graphics card
