i think thay shold have included the babalonians rather then the spanish, thear both deserving, but the babs are a bit more important to civilazation all together then the spanish

One of the first civs that I'm going to add to the game is the Babylonians. Or Assyrians. Or Sumerians. But I don't want to leave Mesopotamia to Persia and the Arabs.

I hope that there is room to add civs ourselves, without the need to ditch existing civs. In that case I will immediately add the Dutch, the Iroquois and the Babylonians.

Exactly, got to be able to add without taking away. Must have a ridiculously high max number of civs in a game too.

I think, of course, the Scandinavians should be part of civ as well. But perhaps not until an expansion

18 is much too little to represent world history. Babylon being left out is a tragedy.

No, please no - Byzantium must be considered either a continuation of Roman or Greek civilization, in civ terms.

In RW terms, they always called themselves the Roman Empire and the people called themselves Romans, though they spoke Greek (Rhomaioi in Greek).

If the Byzantines appear again as a civ, I'll be modding them out - I don't want to play another game where I get the message "The Romans have been destroyed by the rampaging Byzantines"
