as i hypothisised:the first 280mb download did not come with the directX9 i needed. after i finally downloaded the complete 314mb version,it would work.

P.S. i apreaceate the suggestions on upgradeing my computer and found out to double my 256mb ram it would be 60$ and 120$ to triple it.but are there other vital areas i need to upgrade first as well???
