Me and my friend are trying to play civ 4 over a direct IP connection. However, when he tries to host the game and I try to connect to his game, the connection times out. When i host the game and he tries to connect and it says that the versions are incompatible. I currently have CIV4: Gold + BTS Expansion pack, and run the Regular Civ 4 Gold while trying to play direct IP since my friend still has the regular Civ 4. What is the problem and how can I fix this?
