Hi everyone,

I know I shouldn't be posting to this particular forum as this is a system requirements issue but I think I will get more answers to my question here...

I looked over the system requirements forum but I'm a little confused and I'm not sure if I meet the minimum requirements...

Here are my specs:
Lenovo t500 laptop
Windows 7 professional 32 bit
Intel (R) core (TM)2 CPU p8700 @2.53 Ghz (2cpus) ~ 2.5ghz
2048 mb ram
Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset family memory:780 mb

I'm assuming civ 5 won't work on my computer for graphics card/driver requirements--

Is this true?

Thanks
Sreyas

Probably needs to be in the other forum but, you need a RAM upgrade (needs to be 4 gigs). Everything else seems to be ok.

I think there are a few bench marks out there to see if you can run it but I don't think it will run with that video card. Perhaps it might but at the lowest graphic setting

Civ 5 will work on intel graphics, depending on how good your intel is, but not on any pretty settings

ok, so the graphics card stats seem to be ok, thanks...

i won't have to buy another computer or get an upgrade!

Still, he's asking for minimum requirements, and the RAM minimum requirement is 2gb, not 4. 4gb is the recommended requirement.

Even with 2 Gb, this game will run like crap at minimum settings. You really want to have 4 Gb for this game.

The graphics card is less powerful then the "minimum" requirements. Those old Intel IGPs are REAL slow and tend to have driver issues. But it shold run ... somehow,

Extremely pissed off that my system won't be able to run the game!!! Like I'm gonna go out and buy a new god-damned computer just so I can play Civ V?!

Not necessarily, you ould build one yourself and save a lot of money.

When you buy a new computer in 2-3 years it will be cheap to play civ, by then all Intel based laptops will have quad core as a minimum and Haswell might beat Recommended Specs
