I've noticed that (quite frankly, ever since that weird buggy patch was released) my game has not worked properly, I tend to crash after an hour or so of gameplay (i don't count), it either freezes or the whole PC hangs? Is anyone else have that problem?

My PC ran Civ 5 fine (except an issue with dodgy grpahic drivers that I had but I've fixed that).

Had a similar problem. Couldn't play without crash and got into trouble when playing GOTM. Did what worked best for me last time and no problem since then. If you like to test the same thing, here are the directions.

From the library section in the Steam client, right-click Civilization 5 and select properties. Then open the "Local Files" tab and click "Verify integrity of game cache". This takes some time, so I did this while having dinner.

After several hours of play, I've noticed that my game tends to BSOD the system after few hours of playing, which really is starting to bug me, my AMD drivers are up to date, anyone care to help me find the issue?

OS : Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
Processor : AMD FX - 6100 Six-Core Processor (6CPUs, 3.3 GHz)
Memory 8192 MB Ram
Page file 2456 MB used, 13800 MB available
DirectX 11

Graphic : AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Approx. Total Mem. 748 MB
Display : 14490 x 900 (32 bit) (60 Hz)

The game rarely slows down (actually, it pretty much never does), I might ocassionaly get some weird artefacts but that was before I updated my AMD drivers (which was few weeks ago from what I can recall).

The game will just suddenly freeze, and the PC restarts, and then I get a pop-up with the BSOD.

I've downloaded something to decode the .dmp files better, and it points to the ntoskrnl.exe (all 4 dmps have that as the Driver failure or whatever)

Anybody can shed anything ? My settings are on default with the exception of Leader Screen which is set to High (cuz I just really wanted to experience the beautiful artowork.

The PC doesn't have any other issues, it gets warm, and I probably need to give it a nice clean someday, but other than th at there's no issue (although I did hear rather strange noise recently which kinda freaked me out), this PC is custom-built by a friend whom I bought it for 450 euros, I trust him, and I don't think he ripped me off (I bought it in January, still works as fine).

Something to note is that I have been playing the game at Huge size (12 players, 24 CSs), so that probably influenced it.

Sorry for the bump, but I feel no reason to make a new thread if this one is still valid.

Use Google (or your favorite search engine) to look up information on your BSOD error message. For example, it might be IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Also include Windows 7 in the query. Information from Microsoft.com tends to be helpful in resolving these problems.

All I managed to find is that the error is 1033 Locale ID.. and from the minimum research is either a faulty power supply or a fauly video graphic card -.-

You mentioned that your system runs warm. Overheating can cause BSODs, so it might be time to open the case and blow out the dust. While you're in there, reseat the video card and check for any loose connections.

See, the problem is your idea of warm could be different from mine.

My stuff runs at 60 C when playing Saints Row / Civ 5. The indicator on the front is what usually seems to indicate something, when it is at 30+ (30/31) I always end up freezing/hanging (after installing Service Pack 1 the PC simply hangs now). But I don't think it's overheating, I think it's just getting warm and maybe something is setting off .. something?

It also causes video cards to run hotter than normal.
