Civ 5 Crashes On Start New Game

So, title really says, well, most of it. You see, recently I have been attempting to play a game with mods. I have already completeda game with normal, non modded play, and have loaded.and played games with mods. But recently, whenever I get past the "set up game" options and I press "start game", my game goes to desktop, the game comes up as a non-respondin black screen, and closes.
