CIv 5 crashing on start up

Hi, as the title says my civ 5 crashes on start up. I can't play by selecting either direct 9 or direct 11. I had no problems playing on my old computer, but i have just recently got a Alienware m17x laptop and i have had trouble playing.

Here are my specs for my computer, as far as i am aware these are are more than enough considering it is a gaming laptop

My game doesnt start either

Just fitted new motherboard, made clean windows install, downloaded all the latest drivers, installed steam&civ5 and it didnt work. Then I removed civ5 and downloaded&installed it again but it just doesnt work.

Any ideas?
