G'day everyone

I pre-ordered civ5 at my local ebgames store in australia,
and traded in some unplayed xbox and xbox 360 games
and i got a huge discount off the price of civ5

so civ 5 is costing me only $37 Australian dollers, oh yeah!
so if any aussies want to get a real bargain from ebgames,
trade in old xbox and xbox360 games

cheers

Give me your old xbox games and I will.

wow, thats really good!! more than offsets the australia tax
btw what are they charging? i only know the $team prices

So how many games? "Trade in $150 worth of games, and Preorder at the low price of $37!!".

I have pre-ordered from the UK for AU 47. Not as cheap as you, but I didn't have to give anything away to get it. I got it from BlahDVD. I've been buying from them recently and reckon they're pretty good. Great prices and they ship to AUS. I recently picked up Starcraft 2 for 55 AU, Dragon Age for 19 AU and Dirt 2 for 19 AU from them. That includes delivery charge which is a ludicrous 1.3 GBP (around 2 AU.) All stuff so far has arrived in 5-8 working days and in great condition. Only drawback is I have to wait about a week after release to have Civ 5 in my hands.

PS don't work for them or have any affiliation with them. For some weird reason some of their games also seem to be considerably cheaper at the 'checkout' than their advertised price in the product listings.

G'day everyone,

the games i traded in were old games that i hadnt played in years, and were just sitting in a box collecting dust,

and to answer you directly tylerryan79, no i did not trade in $150 Aussie dollers worth of games to pay for civ5, instead i was offered $63AU off the price of civ5 which is $99 brand new
at ebgames australia.

in fact i was surprised by the manager offering me that much but it waswelcomed.

I thought it was great deal, since the games i traded ,iv not played in years,
at least now i can pay a decent price for civ5 without the high markup tax we have on computer games in australia,

unlike in america where new games seem to stay the same price $49US
im very pleased that i was able to trade in xbox games and get my civ5 at much lower price.

and thanks to the trade in on old xbox games and a couple xbox360 games that was no value no more to me,

i can enjoy civ5 for nice price of $37AU and for me thats a bargain.

cheers

I did two hours overtime a couple weeks ago. That paid for my collector's edition from EB. :D

I'm pretty sure if you turn in enough games for store credit you can make a even swap, and end up paying "nothing", but trading your games. When there was preorders for xbox years ago I turned in some games and got $150 store credit, got two games and then reserved an xbox for $50. So if youtrade enough you can cover the price, I'd think. Anythings better than paying $99 right!

Also my origanal comment was more towards the origanal price you payed, then when you trade them in the try to screw you. Atleast that's the case for me years ago! I'm happy your getting the game though! You too Dale!
