Now I just have to wait for my new i7 PC to ship so I can purchase my copy. It will be a long week...

I just discovered that my PC can't run the Civ5 demo. I have a sad. :< The family doesn't seem to agree with me that this crappy used 2003 computer is getting old and perhaps warrants a replacement.

Several spearmen jump out of the fog of war. Oh dear. My brain can't quite compute how this will go down, given spearmen kick mounted ass. But mounted with rifles....?

It's just the default ranged bombard ability of the city. It obviously changes visually as you move up the eras.

I've used the quick heal promotion on my horseys. Muhahaha

Then for fun I decide to accidently swap my artillery I spent so long making with a front line infantry, putting the artillery in a top safe location.

This will go well.

(Slightly frustrating, it's not the first time this has happened. Perhaps better to move with keypad and not holding right mouse button as if you let go in the wrong place above another unit with moves, this is what happens.)

I found that turning on the hex grid helps, since it makes you a bit more aware of the centre of the tiles... which you don't want to hit.

Also my artillery did this to Essen with one barrage:

I'm looking forward to Bismark coming begging for peace. All he has to do is take back the 'puny' comment. I doubt he will though, it'll probably not be in the diplomacy screen.
