Hi,
I have owned CIV 5 for a few weeks now and absolutely love the game, my PC had all the minimum requirements to run the game and I had no issues playing it until I got to the later stages of the game on a "huge" map. Basically as the screen scrolled from one unit to the next it started to "stutter" and sometimes would freeze. I thought this may be an issue with my RAM and Video Card. My original PC information was as follows:
Windows XP (SP3)
RAM 2.0GB
GeForce 512Mb 8600 GT Video Card
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33Ghz
I upgraded my RAM and Video Card recently and I am now running the following specs:
Windows XP (SP3)
RAM 3.25GB
GeForce 1GB 2400 GT
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33Ghz
Everytime I go and start a new game or load a game I get to the loading Screen (with your nations dialogue etc) and just before I get the option to "begin Journey" I get weird flashing coloured boxes and distorted graphics etc.
Is my Video Card no good or do I need to alter something with respects to the games files? I have an option to exchange the Video Cards etc and I still have my old one...Any help would be appreciated. (I have tried the new card/RAM on Call Of Duty 4 and Black Ops and it works just fine...CIV 5 is the only issue..and yes I have the drivers all up to date)
Cheers
