Civ 6 depth

Well, I am pretty new to Civ VI, and do not own any DLC, so I am probably missing some (most??) of what it has to offer.

I do not know Civ V, don't own it never played it, I am basically a Civ I, II and IV Veteran, with thousands of hours like most of you, on these games.

Civ VI is well though, it has cool features, some simplifications, some extensions, but what strikes me most when considering how deep it is, is how mods have changed over the years.

I was not able to find any huge mod that would enhance the mechanics or renew my interest in the game.

One thing that kept me hooked to Civ IV was the community works and modpacks (Fallen From Heaven of course, but you can also consider Three Kingdoms that changed a lot of mechanics and Realism Invictus for the depths). These huge modification added a lot of depth to my experience in the game. I cannot find similar content on Civ VI while is it not that new. I am afraid it may allow less scripting maybe ?

I do not see myself replaying tons and tons of Civ VI games. Even Civ II had an "exciting" (at the time) WW II scenario that I loved to take multiples times from different perspectives.

The IA weakness and the lack of customization make me think this one is more oriented toward multiplayer than the eldest ones.

Well again, I acknowledge I lack experience on this one, and maybe I have changed, but I do not fell hooked... (While I was thinking about re-installing Civ IV to test the latest version of Realism Invictus...).

Just my 2 cents... :)
