Isn't that roughly 10 minutes?
30 * 30 ~= 1000, so 30 seconds for a GB, 30 * 20 = 600.
Say 15 minutes if we make room for the rounding we did plus internet not always being optimal.
EDIT: Okay I messed up bytes and bits so it's eight times as long which is indeed pretty long.
Anyway, OT: I won't be here for the final countdown, as it unlocks at 6 AM my time...

What is even 12 AM? Is it 11 hours after 1 AM, or 1 hour before?

1. They are megabits, not megabytes, so multiply this by 8
2. That's usually maximum speed, with average being lower (depending on how lucky you are it could be significantly lower)
So, I'd say it's more about 2 hours
This countdown counts exactly to 6 AM your time. PC launch is global.
Consoles in early time zones get it much earlier. Very soon. As console launch is not global, but regional.

That is what I meant. You can be here on final countdown as you are not getting the game any sooner (as PC player). 6AM your time was fact that gave away that you are counting to PC global launch, same as this countdown.
Unless you meant that you are sleeping. Then I missed the point by a mile.

My point is indeed that I will be sleeping.
Well, hopefully. I've had two bad nights in a row, I don't need a third bad night.
What's worse is that I actually have a very busy day tomorrow, I doubt I'll be able to get more than 4-5 hours in across the entire day. But I did take a few days off so I'll have five full days to play after that.

Doesn't mean it isn't counting down to the new game, i mean the earthquakes are it counting down.
However i want to add that a volcanic cause cannot be ruled out and isn't being ruled out by scientists and other volcanologists. He makes conclusions while there is a lack of data in the area where the quakes are happening which makes it unable to rule out a volcanic cause. Besides both seem to go hand in hand anyways, as the earthquakes can trigger volcanic unrest and vice versa: see discussions here: and chat section of https://www.volcanocafe.org/the-making-of-afar/ and some greek sources. There is right now no consensus or not a good clue or idea what is going on, in part due to the lack of seismometers and deformation data underseas.
Geologyhub is great, but is also only one source and isn't guaranteed to be always right (i do follow the channel already, i've seen the video on it already).
