Civ 7 Countdown

Isn't that roughly 10 minutes?

30 * 30 ~= 1000, so 30 seconds for a GB, 30 * 20 = 600.

Say 15 minutes if we make room for the rounding we did plus internet not always being optimal.

Anyway, OT: I won't be here for the final countdown, as it unlocks at 6 AM my time...
No, it is ((20*1024)/(30/8))= 91 minutes.

13 hours left

and I'm getting anxious 😰

Well, release is 6AM for me, hopefully GMG will have the keys available tomorrow morning.

I`ve tried to look for console streams, but as I am not scene, so to say, I have not found any.

There are a number of streams from people who got early access (e.g. PotatoMcWhiskey, TheSpiffingBrit).

Is anyone here playing yet?

As for this, I would expect the civfanatics forums to be overwhelmingly PC players. They're most likely to engage in a community, plus these forums are really old which means the age of members is older than average, which likely skews even more towards PC. (of course, exceptions may exist)

I would be specifically interested in console streams today. I want to observe performance.

Watching others just play the game in general is boring. That being said I have JumboPixel stream open atm.

Somewhere I'd read that there was preload for steam tonight at 6PM EST. I can't seem to find it now, was this false info or retracted? Is it Midnight EST/ Closest time zone?

yeah, I'm waiting on GMG too...

I expect they'll come through, but if it's not in at 12:10, I might have to refund & just buy on steam

Sleep is optional?

I am with Ornen - I am in the PST time zone up in the NW so 9pm it is ! I was told from Amazon that they will release keys once the game is released from Firaxis. So from looking at my big clock on the wall and watching the snowfall come down I would say it's about 11 hours and 15 minutes to go.

Just checked my Steam account telling me I have 8800 hours of play time with Civ 6. Can't wait for the new generation of graphics and game mechanics.

Man...prepping for release day sure looks different when you're middle-aged with kids. Civ6 released when I was in my 20s, sans children.
