Civ Constantly Changing Resolution Automatically

Hey forum

So I'm having a rather chronic problem. Sometimes there's weeks in between it happening, other times it can happen multiple times in a day. What happens, in short, is Civ changes the resolution to a resolution that my screen doesn't support.

The fix is somewhat easy, involving me manually changing the values in the graphics settings via notepad, but it's still very annoying that I should have to do it in the first place.

Can I get some help, please?

P.S. I'm running Directx 11 with a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti on a 15-16 inch screen.

You should try to remove writing permissions to the .ini file.
Just right click -> properties -> tick the box for "write-protected" (or "read-only", don't know what the exact translation is).

Thanks! It might be awhile till the next time it tries to change the resolution (it's very random) so I can't tell you if it worked or not...but here's to fingers crossed!
