Hey guys,
First of all: Sorry for my bad english, it's not my mother tongue.
I really need your help:
My Civ-Game crashes very often, especially in two cases:
1) I start a new game. The narrator reads the text of the civilization and the sound begins to stutter. In very many cases the game crashes with a soundloop, till I'm back to desktop (failure in module msvcr90.dll).
2) From ancient times to the classical era the game crashes very often when I hit the "next turn" button (failure in module msvcr90.dll).
Windowmode doesn't affect this.
Steam already checked my game files. Everytime I do this, a file with a size of 22,6 MB can't be checked and is redownloaded.
The game has been reinstalled twice - once I manually deleted the remaining files in the steam folder.
My PC is capable of running Civ 5: Intel Core2Quad, 4 Gigs of Ram, GeForce 8800, Windows XP.
I installed the newest drivers and updates for Windows XP.
I reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ Redistrubatable (from which msvcr90.dll is a file afaik).
I really hope you can help me.
Thank you very much in advance!
Greetings,
Skyline
