I´ve been trying to open that map from Mirc and, after I got to scroll a bit, it crashed. Here´s the mistake message:

Does anyone have a clue? I´m running v1.00 on a Win 98 SE pc, with more than enough RAM.

What! The Editor doesn't have problems! :P

v 1.00? Is that Vanilla? It may be a C3C map...<--which doesn't make sense because you wouldn't be able to open a C3C map in the Vanilla editort.

v.100 is the editor version. Mine is v1.03. That could be a difference in the language version, or it could mean you need a patch. Are you running C3C v1.22?

The message in English (as close as I can translate :p):
Spoiler :
CIV3CONQUESTSEDIT caused an invalid paging error in module CIV3CONQUESTSEDIT.EXE of 016f:00479ac0.

I have the v1.00 game, because I once installed v1.22 but I uninstalled the whole game when it stopped working, and now I can´t install the patch again. Apparently it has something to do with "unproper uninstalling" or something like that.

You may have to uninstall the game again, perhaps by (if you are a windows user) Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs to delete the game. Hopefully then you'll be able to upgrade to the latest greatest and get everything working again.

Do you think I would be stupid to answer "Yes" -even joking?
It won´t work, also, because Dad clicked something called "restore all system defaults" in a program -um, IIRC, Registry Cleaner- so he unwittingly deleted all drivers and I had to spend +7hours  at the PC to make the screen work again, another hour for sound, and still most progs don´t work. I had installed 1.22 before all that happened. 'twas amost a year ago but I still have trouble trying to make stuff work... GTA III sometimes just stops working, it just freezes and NOTHING happens, and so on for alomst every other program on the machine.

Hey, I think I've figured out what the problem is.... I think it's something wrong with my file, I'll try to fix that. :D Hope the problem is what I think it is.

thats why you dont let parents touch your pc :D

if you have a portable harddrive or a big enough flash drive, back up all of your files (photos, documents, saves, scenarios, ect.) and re-install windows xp, if you cant get it working again
