Dang, I have NO land, NO military, and the Ottomans coming in with one warrior. I do have gems, though, and one of the nicest city sites I have ever seen. Ain't gonna give up, no worries.

What he said, except I sent my save in a 2 for 1 PBEM combo (with Cheese!!!) to Apricorn. Well, knowing V2010's adbundant of llihs, he probably has no city sites, and is on a 1 tile island.
 
You guys must be in a different game. I already have 6 cities and am enslaving the Romans. We are on a clear path to global domination.

I somehow doubt it. I have 3 cities, and room for one more. I am going to have to either peacefully expand - preferred option, or take out the Ottomans fast - not my preferred option. This is the Civ Elite thread I am in, I think . . .

Shaking fist at those that have a better start location then I . . .
 
Got it. Played it. Sent it to Apricorn @ 18:01 GMT. Sorry for the slight delay, got busy last night. Dang, I am gonna have to have an early war with the Ottomans. Archers vs. Spearmen, yuck. I shall not do well this game, not well at all. At this case, I am have a very strong feeling that I am the underdog. Stupid Ottomans.

Things are peaceful between the Egyptians and the Ottomans, at least until the Egyptians get a military together, that is better then a couple of warriors. The Egyptians do not want war with the Ottomans, but the Egyptians distinct lack of room is demanding a need for an early war. Fully aware of the effects of war, the Egyptiand have ordered that many legions of Arhcers, for alltack, and Spearmen, for defense, shall be build, and marched down towards the Ottoman-Egyptians border.

Ok, sent it, blah blah blah.

The Egyptians have started moving their army, or what passes for one, towards the border with the potential enemy, the Ottomans, who stand in the way between Egypt, and a Glorious Empire (or so says the Official State Newspaper). These units do not have far to go, since the border is not far away since the Egyptians have a lack of land. An Ottoman warrior that has been nosing around the Egyptians land is being closely followed by an Egyptian warrior. The Egyptians also notice that there is an island within Galley distance, but Galleys are still a foreign consept to the struggling Egyptian empire. Taking out the Ottomans seems to be the easiest route, assuming that the promises of beautiful grassland beyond the Ottoman cities are true. Only time shall tell . . .
 
Who has the save? I have not seen it in a couple of days . . .
 
I last sent the turn to Vancouver on the 7th.

Anyone?
 
Got it, Playing it, Sending it. I won't be here until Tuesday, so it will inda be stalled until then. Ahh, finally a well deserved vacation . . .

Apparently I sent Apricorn the wrong turn, I re-sent it. I'm hoping it is the right one. I'm back, btw.
 
Well, I send the right one a couple of days ago, and if Apricorn did not receive the right one, he hasn't responded yet, so i must therefore assume taht I send the right one . . .

I hope this ain't stalled!!!
