Civ. III HELP! Mac OS 9 problem...

Help Me!!!

I have a 600 mhz iBook with 640 mb of RAM. I have OS X and OS 9 on different and equal partitions. Each partition has 10 GB. I installed and have been running on OS X for some time now. I recently tried running on OS 9 in its native mode. (I was using the alias from OS X) To my avail, I noticed all the text was in some whack language (maybe Arabic?). So then I erased the OS 9 preferences file and installed fully onto the OS 9 partition. The same thing has happened. HELP! Why is this doing this??????

Looks like a Text Encoding conflict... or a carbon lib as i believe it is used by Civ. So I would suggest to check the Text Encoding folder to keep only the latest version and eventually re-install Carbon Lib. Hope this help.

I have only OS 9. When I installed Civ3, I needed to install/update QuickTime, CarbonLib, and one more(OpenGL? I do not remember). The latter two were provided on Civ3 CD.
