If you like music, play Winamp in the background..that's what i do..Although i don't have your "bug" prolly not a bug even but a wrong config, but, Winamp will keep you happy! And let's face is, who cares about the sounds, civ is a strategy game, for thinkers, play doom if you want to hear "Urrghhh, Ohhhhh, KABOOOM" hehehehe

I want the sound and explosions. If there are no explosions how can I possibly win? I need sound to help my stategy! Yes, I tried with the audio controls, its not that. The sound is fine before the patch, after when I go to scenarios there is no sound or anything, except that brief start up video Its just not fair If I send Firaxis a email they will just laugh at me and tell me I am no good

In single player I always build warriors because they are the best unit in the game. You can build a huge army of warriors cheaply. I can beat the game on chieftan a good portion of the time.

Try sending an email to Firaxis (don't rant though, just tell them your problem in a matter-of-factly tone) and maybe post this in the bug report section of this forum (Civilization IV --> General Discussion --> Bug Reports. Again, don't rant).

In the meantime get out your mp3 or something and listen to music while you play. Music > Explosions

I have a quick question for you all. I've been away for the game for some time due to RL issues and now can no longer locate the game CD for either of my copies of Civ IV. If I buy the expansions, will I be able to play using the game CD from them or do I still need the original Game CD? The game is still installed, I just can't play it now.

No worries mate - you will be able to play BtS with just the expansion CD.

You won't be able to play the other versions without the disks, but with bts, why would you want to!?!

Yes snipperrrabbbbbbitt. I am trying to play bts 1939, AND THE SOUND DOES NOT WORK! ITS NOT FAIR!. I just tried another scenario and the sound works fine. It is only the one scenario I WANT TO PLAY AND IT WILL NOT WORK.

Does anyone else think the music in the modern era is dreary and sad? It makes me cry when I listen to it because it is so sad, so I try not to get techs leading to the modern era as to avoid that music as long as possible. All the other eras are good, but the modern era music is terrible. In Civ 3 the modern era music was very good ^======^

I suggest you go to the Road to War forums and state your problem there, since the trouble seems to be localized to that mod. Good luck!

Plz help I have been playing BTS and every time I am able to build the attack submarine it tells me I need uranium but I have it. Not even shows on my city screen. I have already re-install the game, it still does the same can someone help?

I think DRD is trying to play a Warlord 2.08 mod under BtS 3.13 .
That's as simple as that and it will never work !
