Civ IV Complete problems

Hey guys, so I got the Civ IV complete disk from Best Buy the other day due to a buddy telling me about the fall from heaven mod and after looking at if I wanted to give it a go.

Well I put in the disk for Civ IV complete and install it it seems to go off without a hitch. I read the forum that for FoH to work I need BtS fully updated so I go to check the versions or at the very least look for the folders for it and I don't see anything, only a Civ IV folder. When I boot the game up it seems it's only playing civ IV.

Thinking maybe I missed the prompt to install the expansions i put the dick back in and look there, nothing. so I uninstall and try again and nothing...though i see as it's intslling its putting BtS files on the computer. So figuring it was there I go to update it and the updater tells me there is no BtS version located on my computer.

So I'm getting a bit frustrated as I really want to play FoH...but at this point I'm not even seein ghow the heck I'm gonna play the expansions I'm supposed to be able to play...am I missing something here?

That's one hilarious typo you got there.

Have you checked inside the Civ IV folder?
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword <- the BTS .exe is in here

For updates, it's better to manually download the 3.19 patch and install it yourself.

There is no just Civ 4 folder, it's a Civ 4 complete folder, and there are no folders in it for BtS or Warlords.

Also when I load the game, it's just Civ 4, it's not loading any of the expansions either, yet I saw BtS files install when it was going through the installer. I'm just really confused to as where it all went or why it's not installing the other games.

It did install colonization...just nothing else it seems.

Can you do a search on your computer?

Search for Civ4BeyondSword.exe

If you're on Vista it might be under C:\Programs(x86).

Nothing comes up and nothing else Civ related is in the Programs(x86) directory.

Alright oddly enough, searching for it, it never came up, but the game was installed SOMEWHERE.....as I found it in a separate games folder I didn't know I had (I can't right click it for properties to see where it's installed too).... I still can't find the damn folder that it's in lol The game is updating now.

If this is Vista have a look in the "<Logon Name>\AppData\Roaming\..." folder, Vista has been known to put it there. Lemon's Civ/Vista guide stickied in this forum gives more info. Again if Vista the game will not create shortcuts to BTS etc, you will have to find the executables and create them yourself.
