Hello, I'm currently on my Mac but have a problem with my PC.
I downloaded the Civilization IV demo, and installed.

Then I went to the tutorial, and waited.
It loaded up, and the music is all slow and such.
1 or 2 minutes later, the music stops and the game freezes.
Then I have to restart the computer...

I retried by starting a new game, and a new tutorial game at least 5 times.
I re downloaded the demo and installed it, and it won't work.

My computer is at the recommended requirements, and I don't see whats wrong.
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GRV670,
1GB RAM,
Pentium 4 2.7GHZ I think,
and ATI Radeon 9000

What is wrong?

Any help appreciated!

I know this is a duplicate topic;
But I realized this is the right section.

Sorry for the double post, but...

I would really like to try this game,
because if it is good I will buy it. :P

Any help appreciated!

INF Error. Video Driver Not found.
Setup was unable to complete the installation.
Try to set up your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup.
What is wrong? :(

The first installer did nothing, the second gave these errors...

:hmm:
apparently the ati website tries to give you a driver that no longer supports your graphics card - you apparently need
catalyst 6.5 - but ati's website does not offer that anymore and I hesitate to link you to one of the sites I find with google since I do not know which of them are trustworthy
But my hunch is that unless you update the driver that neither the demo nor the game will work - 2002 is simply too old for a graphics driver to work with this game :gripe:
