Civ IV MP Levels

Hi,

My husband and I play mulit-player via direct IP with 4 to 6 AI's. He can select his starting level (Chieftain, Warlord, Noble, etc.) but I'm stuck at Noble. How can I select a different level?

We've played 10 games so far, and the AI's have never gone to war with each other. How do we get them to play fair? They trade everything with each other. We've turned off technology trading and teamed up, but they still trade everything else.

Start you and your husband with a permanent alliance and turn on Always War? XD

The host has to choose your playing level when the game is set up. You said your husband can choose his ask him to set your level as well.

In all the DirectIP games I've played, the person can select their difficulty level themselves, it doesn't require host to change at all. Are you updated to latest patch?
