Civ IV Rookie

Greetings from Canada!! I hope this finds you and yours well. As for me, I could complain...yadda, yadda, yadda.

I just picked up Civ IV today along with its accompanying strategy guide. I do realize that I might start WWIII with this, but I was wondering the best civ is to start with? They all look so fascinating!!!
