Whops, didnt know that. Yeah if thats the case then of course we will compare stats on the last turn before the demo ends. I will update the original post accordingly. Thanks for the info!

good idea. I am still hoping that since I I got someone in the us to gift it to me, I can unlock on the US release. But I'm not too optimistic. If not I'm definitely in with this friendly competition to pass the time. Does the demo come out at 10 am edt also?

I think 'Most Culture' should be 'Most Policies', the main screen only shows progress until the next policy, not the total amount of culture (it starts at 0 after every policy), plus the number gets bigger with every city.

Anyway, I see you suggest Prince and I started on Warlord haha (turn 94 so far).

EDIT: Okay my demo only lasted 100 turns, not 150.

Ahhh, I don't know about this. I just finished the demo and it's only 100 turns. I was just about to complete The Great Wall, too

Some screens for you. I believe this was far from optimal but my strategy was the Great Library slingshot to Civil Service which makes farm tiles near rivers yield 1 extra food.

By the way: Is it only me or does the Tradition food bonus not work in the demo? I enabled it but didn't get any bonus in the capital. I even counted the food yield and what is displayed in the city screen and the change to the next turn and it fit the food production without Tradition The same goes for maritime City States.

It's always a yawner for me when the research route is easiest. I really hope Firaxis has found some nice ways of punishing this type of game.

Went to turn 99 on settler with conquest in mind,

Heres two screen shots for you, I conquered the entire continent with the exception of Seoul whom I made an ally. I also completed the honour branch but forgot to take a screeny.

Heres everything else I could think to show though.

Ok, played as greece this time around, had two cavalry companions with blitz by the end and one hopolite with an equal amount of XP, as well as various other units, by the end it was taking me ages each turn to move my numerous units .
Companion Cavalry are awesome btw, you can just muscle your way around.

Continent Conquered in settler difficulty (I will try to completely conquer in a harder difficulty tomorrow ) by turn 87.
P.s this was the harder continent, Greece vs Germany/Rome/Egypt as apposed to Darius vs England.

Ignore the top part of the screen shot, pasted over a different screen shot, also bottom part of minimap is cropped out, shame, but I conquered it all, most is on screen.
