Not to mention that Civplayers Leagues has had rules about quitting for 10 years now since Civ3PTW first came out, do we really need to re-invent the wheel again?

-no diplo
-no trade
-always war
-no barbarians
-no ruins

Your rules ruined this wonderful game and cant have a real epic games because i think the strategy in all faces of diplo, trade alliance etc... are very important in this game (for me)

You will notice there are no such rules as you claim. Those are game settings not rules, and the players decide what the game settings are not the league. If you want to play a full diplomacy FFA on the league you are free to do so.

So please refrain from spreading rumours not facts.

Many player do like playing with those "settings" yes, because the reality is people only have 2-4 hours to play a game, not 7 hours like you have in your rules on your steam page. So the game settings that are generally used on the league are geared toward that simple reality, players will play what is fun for them in under 4 hours, and no one wants a boring buildfest and waste 4 hours of their time.

But these are not rules as you stated and that is why I objected to your statement. We at Civplayers do not and never have told players what settings to play in the random lobby games. The realities of the "playground" decide those settings.

And even if we did not already exist, another group has already setup a "no quitter" group for open non-league players, so your about a month late for this idea, but good luck anyway.

i didnt come here to oppose my view just for propose a funny group for funny games i dont like the civleague its my right ok, and many players of civ said me dont like this group, 80 or 90% of yours civleague games are with this rules (no trade, no diplomacy and others) right ? i understand few players enjoy this no quitting for you is one rules among others right?
In CVNQ its The only rule not much. Bye

The owner of this group was kicked from original NQ because he quit. Not once, but twice.

well Pilsken. the thing is NQ group is exactly what you seem to ant to create. Also the civleague extict with similar rules and a ranking system.

To be honest I dont see the need for one more group without a new purpuse. Creating a copy of what allready excist doesnt serve any purpose at all.

For me its I rather discuss how to "merge" NQ and the league in a way that all feel good about than how to crete a 3d group.

Mabye making some of the admins of NQ or all admins in the league aswell?

I mean they are obviously good at beeing active admins and recruit and keep the community alive.

So mabye recruting them as admins in the league would be a way to merge the groups.

I ve actually been thinking quite lot about what s really the difference between the league and NQ. One more thing I came to think about that might be important aswell. It doesnt really seem like the league kick that many players.

An active healthy group is not just about recruting as many as possible but actually also about kicking people who missbehave.

An NQ admins to a g8 job there. They actually do kick people who dont follow the rules and I think the league admins got something to learn there.

tart to "sort" out innactive members and kick them.

Its marketing. An exclusive group that not all can be members of. that is people do get kicked if they r innactive to long or break the rules. Is more intresting then one you can apply for membership in, get the membership, dont do a damn thing and a year later still be member.

By kicking people you might actually grow more then u loose players and also get a better placer base.

I dont know. I dont know if and how many people are icked from the league. this is all my impressions from what I ve seen and I m in no way connected enugh within the league to really know what is going on.

Is just a guess based on what I ve seen.

Haha. This guy plisken was called fedayin86 on steam. he was a member of original NQ. he quitted numerous games and got kicked from group. Then he created a paralell group called Civ V No Quitters, changed his name to Fed[CVNQ] and invited all the players he had met in NQ into his new group. In addition, he basicly copy-pasted our introduction and the rules we had made on the NQ steam page.

HAHA. I can't do nothing but laugh.

It is a closed group, but if you want to join, just go to NQ chat and wait for a player to come. They will invite into the group.

But be aware. It is easy to join, but also easy to get kicked if you quit games. The author of this post is a living proof of that.

Admin from the actual NQ here. I dont know for sure about this guys past, as I don't know for sure plink == fed. I do know this type of group does indeed already exist. The civ players league is for ranked play, and the NQ group is for casual games where, as the title indicates, no one quits.
