Civ VI Funny/Strange Screenshots

Nice! Free bonus yields.

Also, you should definitely have moved a tile to the left before settling. Bonus production from plains hill and two 3f2p tiles in the second ring. (and remember, always move warrior first, then decide on settling spot)

Yeah, although as Hungary it's kind of nice to have 3 adjacent cheap district spots across a river, so I'm okay with settling in place.

Oh, right. I haven't ever played Hungary so I don't know the details of how their ability works. Is it only adjacent to the city center, or does it work anywhere on the opposite side of the river? And if the latter, how does it interact with river ends?

Adjacent to the city center only. If Buda were one tile to the left, it'd only have one discount available.

Yeah I can imagine that might make it worth to settle on this tile instead of the plains hill.

Could make an argument both ways. I think I'd still go for the plains hill for better early tempo, but I'm not sure if that's superior in the long term. My gut says that it is, but without having played Hungary it's hard to properly estimate the impact of their ability.

I don't have a lot of experience with Hungary, but my sense is that the crossriver discount ability is useful, but not central, unless maybe you were playing a peaceful Hungary (and why would you do that?). The ability is somewhat at the mercy of the map RNG for suitably bendy rivers, and even if you get those some tiles might be blocked by luxes/strategics, mountains, etc.

What is central for Hungary is Matthias' troop-levying bonuses - the movement and combat bonuses are sweet, and on top of that you can upgrade levied troops for a ridiculous discount. Then when you get your Tier 2 gov't, put the Foreign Ministry on top of that...they're a juggernaut.

Anyway, even though the river discount isn't central, with my capital I would prefer to get the 3 discounts at the cost of some early growth, since I expect to build at least 3 districts in the capital, eventually. Early growth will come via suz'ing and levying the first city-state and crushing the first victim with the mobile and upgraded levies.

The engineers didn't quite get this one right ...

What good are the GDRs, if they still slip and hurt themselves on the proverbial banana skin? Meanwhile, the Lady Liberty is about to prime her torch and set fire to the leaking oil. Get the plates ready for the fried plantains, folks! :)

I should start a special military operation just to wipe this city of the face of the planet for this monstrous wonder placement.

Or ... maybe it's a strategic stroke of genious? I bet you Radom is not planning against a naval invasion!

Well, possibly...
