Civ vi

Well, considering Civ V has been in the top 10 most played games almost constantly since it's launch, whereas most games die after a couple of months, I think it's virtually certain.

With DLCs, Fraxis is keeping a good income stream going too, and with G&K and another expansion likely, they would either be mad, or wishing to commit commercial suicide, if they didn't do Civ VI, which is almost certain to be a commercial success.

Unless G&K or a future CiV expansion pack turns out to be a massive failure, I can't imagine that there wouldn't be a CiVI.

If there is a 6 I hope the AI isn't so quick to DOW.

60 years ago we were at war with Germany and Japan. Now? BFF. Things change.

But not in Civ. If they hate you once, they hate you forever.

Harold wiped out Bismark in one of my games recently, then attacked me. When I took a city that had once been Bismarks the game gave me the opportunity to give the city back to Bismark.

So I did. Gave him some gold and some units, thought maybe he'd be grateful to be back in the game.

Nope, two turns later he attacks one of my city-states.

Something tells me Civ 6 won't be called Civ 6.

They'll probably take the reboot route and just call it "Civilization" or something.

In 2015, we'll have the option to buy the Collector's Edition of Civ VI, which comes with five sizes of real-life hard-cloth (washable but do not tumble dry) maps for Duel, Small, Standard, Large, and Earth, and we will be playing civilization with a spectacle display (weighing just 65 grams) using augmented virtual reality. We will be moving units around the map with a special glove.

Players choosing not to buy Collector's Edition could still use any compatible head-mount augmented virtual reality kit, since these now come standard, replacing the mouse (often the keyboard as well) for all but the most obscure systems.

Single player games can choose to be played online, loggin on to the Sid Meier's Civilization Core, a quantum super computer that records and analyses player strategies and tactics around the globe, and applying the results in real time to improve AI skill. There are rumors that the SMCC is actually a top secret US Institute of Strategic and Tactical Computing (ISTC) project, using data from video game patterns around the world to design tests and training that improve military personnel's strategic and tactical abilities. SMCC also provides the same AI service to other well-known strategy game franchises.

Civ6 will be the first civilization game in real 3D with stunning graphics running on 32core engines! :D

 I hate that trend. And you're probably right.

But 32 cores will only run tiny maps and you'll need to wait 5 years after the game comes out for 1k core engines that can handle a large map.

You might not be so far off with that first idea.
