Civ2 MULTIPLAYER GAMES

The sites Civ2 Multiplayer and PBEM forum is too PBEM orientated. Looking at the thread I can see that there is still a large Civ2 mp following.

The forum could be split so that Multiplayers aren't smothered by PBEM's or a new Tournemant could be officially organised by the moderators and posted on the main page to drum up more interest.

Cedric's MGE patch now allows everybody to play multiplayer and so we should as Civ2 multiplayer is a lot of fun. Perhaps a Civ2 World Cup, anything but please revive Civ2 MP. Please!!!!

Perhaps we should put the PBEM games inside a sub-forum in the MP forum?

And the PBEMers will scream if they lose sovereignty over the MP forum.

But I wholeheartedly agree. I think that many MP players are intimidated by the zillions of PBEM threads in there.

I have been able to play with quite a few people, but I think the MP crowd here is pretty small.

But, YOU could change that T-Fall, by sub-foruming ONE of them.

I've noticed this and have tried to help it out by replying to threads asking about players for MP games. I then direct them to the 'main' MP thread and flatlander.

I'm in a couple of PBEM games and I wouldn't have a problem having the two aspects separated. I would think that since there is a lot more PBEM activity it should be in the main section and the MP forum a sub, but it really doesn't matter too much to me either way.

The story here is the same as Civ3 Succession games. Those SC games have become so popular that they dominated the story forum and required a separate forum.

I'll create a subforum for PBEM games...
