Civ3 for ps2?

Nope:

1. It wouldn't work at all!
2. No chance of that happening anymore.

Hey highland,

Thanks for the info.

How come there's no chance of it anymore? -Just bein' nosy ;)

a)I doubt they would release many new games for the PS2
b)There are probably way too many commands within Civ III to fit on a PS2 controller

^ me too, then I bought Civ 1 for SNES and played it until the battery inside the cartridge burned out.

You know you can open that cartridge up and replace that battery, its the same kind that is on a PC motherboard, about the size of a nickel...

I did that to a few strategy games that I love from my childhood and refuse to let die.

I tried over and over again, the connecting arm on the positive side wouldnt stay in contact and hours of work would sporadically go right down the drain. I tried elec. tape, glue, anything I could think of until I finally got fed up and quit trying. I replaced the one in my original Zelda and that one saved fine afterward, but not Civ 1.

I think a civ game could work for a next gen console. Don't have one myself ( to poor ) but I've played both x-box360 and ps3, have to say there both powerful babies

I agreed with a), but b), you could buy a keyboard and play on your PS2.

Now a question:

Is it anything close to civilization for the new consols? I have a PS2, I might get a PS3, but the games avaliable now, does not worth a buy yet.

That means the company would have to remake the machine and fit it with a keyboard port... Unless there is a keyboard port . I don't have any consoles so I wouldn't know. But I'm pretty sure they didn't make a port for a keyboard.

^Playstation 2 has a USB port and a Keyboard to plug into it. It's mostly used for internet chat in online games. I have one. But I've also used it to make real rosters for sports games that don't have the real names.

But hey, I've seen them make a video camera, a keyboard, a microphone, and an Electronic guitar work too, so I can only imagine the special marketing oppurtunity they could have with a custom Civ keyboard/controller.

The PS2 has two USB ports. The Logitech keyboard I use was semi-marketed to be used on a PS2. Although I never saw any games that used it, evidently it can be hooked up to a PS2.

I tried using my Flash drive on it, and that didn't work either. :(
