Civ4 compelte won't work

I just got civ4 complete, and when i try to run the program, nothing happens, only colonization works, and when i start the game, the program stops working.
Does this have to do with what operating system? or what?

I forgot to mention i am using windows vista home basic, and i get no error messages when installing them game.

Go to Start Menu -> Games to pull up the Games Explorer. Not in the All Programs folder, but in the Start Menu itself.
