As a bit of fun, I thought I would compare the FfH leaders and find their BtS counterpart. :) If you notice that a leader or two is missing, it's because they have a unique trait which can't be compared with any BtS traits. (IE Raiders.) Although I'd like to say the leaders are clearly definable as having the same traits the truth of the matter is that some leaders probably don't have a BtS comparison... In such cases, I will try to draw together the best comparison. :mischief: As for leaders with only a single trait that is comparable to any BtS traits, sorry. :p

Alexis of Calabim
Traits: Philosophical, Aggressive
Counterpart: Alexander of Greece
Nothing too strange here...

Arendel Phaedra of Ljosalfar
Traits: Spiritual, Creative
Counterpart: Hatshepsut of Egypt
These two might get along.

Arturus Thorne of Khazad
Traits: Industrious, Organized, Ingenuity
Counterpart: Franklin D. Roosevelt of America
Secretly brothers?

Auric Ulvin of Illian
Traits: Charismatic, Defender, Agnostic
Counterpart: Churchill of England
Churchill reveals his true self...

Beeri Bawl of Luchuirp
Traits: Industrious, Financial
Counterpart(s): Huayna Capac of Inca, Qin Shi Huang (Changed at some point.)
Musical traits? :crazyeye:

Capria of Bannor
Traits: Spiritual, Industrious
Counterpart(s): Ramesses II of Egypt, Gandhi of India (Changed at some point.)
???

Cardith Lorda of Kuriotates
Traits: Expansive, Philosophical, Sprawling
Counterpart: Peter of Russia
As if things weren't already strange enough.

Cassiel of Grigori
Traits: Philosophical, Industrious, Adaptive, Agnostic
Counterpart: Nobody! :(

Einion Logos of Elohim
Traits: Philosophical, Defender, Tolerant
Counterpart: Sitting Bull of Native America
I can't see these two kicking it off very well.

Ethne the White of Elohim
Traits: Creative, Defender, Tolerant
Counterpart: Gilgamesh of Sumeria
This one maybe the oddest of all...

Falamar of Lanun
Traits: Expansive, Charismatic
Counterpart: George Washington of America
When will the madness end?

Flauros of Calabim
Traits: Financial, Organized
Counterpart: Darius I of Persia
Double whammy!

Garrim Gyr of Luchuirp
Traits: Financial, Defender
Counterparts: Wang Kon
Huh, one that isn't all too odd.

Jonas Endain of Clan of Embers
Traits: Expansive, Spiritual
Counterparts: Isabella of Spain
Well ain't that just dandy.

Kandros Fir of Khazad
Traits: Aggressive, Financial, Ingenuity
Counterparts: Ragnar of Vikings
This is one of the few normal comparisons.

Rhoanna of Hippus
Traits: Expansive, Financial
Counterparts: Pacal II of Maya, Victoria of England (Changed recently.)

Sabathiel of Bannor
Traits: Charismatic, Organized
Counterparts: Napoleon of France
So this is what an Angel is compared to? The tiny general himself?

Sandalphon of Sidar
Traits: Industrious, Defender
Counterparts: Qin Shi Huang (New and improved!)
This one actually makes a fair amount of sense.

Sheelba of Clan of Embers
Traits: Aggressive, Organized
Counterparts: Hammurabi, Tokugawa (Changed recently.)
And right back where we were before!

Varn Gosam of Malakim:
Traits: Spiritual, Creative, Adaptive
Counterparts: See Arendel Phaedra for answer

And with that finished, some personal things I learned from today's lesson...

Liberal use of personal opinions and thoughts are best reserved for political authors.
Humor, get some.
Just because it's a vague joke doesn't make it any funnier once others figure it out.

And moving on, my condolences and a fruit basket to the leaders who weren't able to make it today.

Hope you had as much fun reading that as I had writing (typing.) it up! :)

I think it is more fun to compare personalities.

Faeryl--Catty of Russia.

Either of the Doviello leaders: Monty of Aztecs! If you play a high difficulty and the Doviellos are near, they always rush you with Lucian and warriors. If you do not have archers or copper by the time they have axeman, it is game-over. It is that predictable. Strangely, that kind of predictability is also fun.

Are the Elohims Gandhi-like? Perhaps, I have seen them being wiped out too often.

I still have yet to discover a tech whore like Mansa Musa...

That'd be either of the Amurite leaders... Even when they are Friendly with you, they never want to trade any technology with you, and yet they will constantly ask for a gift.

I think Tasunke and Cathy. Both like to sink the knife in while you have your back turned.

EDIT: And Faeryl of course.

What's even worse is that their opening diplomacy quote goes something like "Hello, whatshisface, let us share our secrets, hm?"
By "our secrets", I'm sure they mean "your secrets", because you sure ain't getting any of theirs. :p

Good a tech whore is quite the opposite: Trading away everything to everyone (like Mansa in vanilla). I think the Hippus match this point. Even if they are angry you're able to trade techs with them.
Arturus Thorne could be compared to Tokugawa. Never ever opening his borders unless you have an attitude of +4-6 (strange for great merchants). It's not that extreme as with Tokugawa, but comes near.

They don't even have to be near you, contact is enough.

They don't even need to have contact, they'll find you. Being on the same planet is enough.

Sabathiel of Bannor
Traits: Charismatic, Organized
Counterparts: Napoleon of France

This 1 made me lol.

Ture. Very true. There's a reason some of us consider the Devellio animals ya know.

Sabathiel led his people out of Hell, whereas Napoleon led his people into the closest real life equivalent [Russia in winter] ;)

ETA: Oddly enough, I was idly wondering which trait Barack Obama would have in Civ4, and I came up with Chr/Org...

Too bad lair anit' a trait in FfH. Cuz that's wat Obama is. But nough of the political . .. .. .. ..
