Please help. I hve civ4 and have been running it on this computer for 3 years with no issues, then about 2 months ago the images started to develop faults, at first it was an occasional line through the screen and then it would get worse, often its like viewing the game through a boken window and I get big grey triangles running from the unit I want to move to the edge of the screen, if I move my view so it is not centred on the unit this will sometimes go away, like it was folded away, but then sometimes it gets worse and you can't see anything at all. Eventually the game will lock up and sometimes the whole PC will lock up and have to be turned off manually.
Tried dxdiag and this is completely fine before running civ4 but if I quit out of civ4 as soon as the error starts and run dxdiag then, the direct 3d image is messed up, like its trying to run too fast.
Have also reset PC using CD and still seem to have problem although it never occured until recently, also tried re-installing directx 9c again but it won't let me as I already have it. Have spent most of last 3 days trying to fix this and I completely stumped. Please help.
