civ5.flexd.net - view and share your replays online

Well the problem is I really haven't got the time to maintain the replay parser itself.

I didn't make it in the first place and I don't even play the game.

I am guessing there are two reasons people are using it less now:

1. The games own replay feature launched
2. When it launched the replay format changed (as far as I know) so any replay from a newer version of the game will most likely fail.

I will have it up and running again on the new host when I get the time (work/school in the way), but I most likely won't be doing any updates to the parser.

The replay parser itself (and the actual site) is on Github

If you know how to code python (or would like to try) feel free :-)

I'm capable of programming python, but I don't own Civ5, so I also don't have newer save files.
I thought about setting up a server for it myself, so that I have some more control over it (in regards with maintaining), but I currently don't have the money for a server, and I'm not sure if I have the time :/.
Bah .

I can give you every replay file uploaded if you wish :-) They are all different versions I imagine, there's about 130 replay files it failed parsing so they are likely odd mods or languages or of the new format.

I don't know if anyone still uses this (or did before it went down) but I plan on putting it up again some time soon. The server it's on is down and I have no way of getting to the files :-)

Hello.

Is there any point in me re-doing this/putting this back online in one form or another?

I recently bought civ5 and I realise the in-game replay function is kind of okay.

You aren't able to share your replays like you were with this, but I guess there might be other replay-sites available now too?
