Civ5 TSG Series Future

This busy little Peanut only rarely emerges from his shell and into Civ-space, but on a recent foray I bought Civ5. It has been great to have these nicely packaged games to help learn this strange new Civ game - I mastered III but never had time to play much IV.

I appreciate having comentary and pointers from other players to read as I stumble through the TSGs, usually its well after closing before I get around to trying one.

So thanks for all the effort you put into these games, and I don't really mind what level, VC or Civ you choose, I usually get crushed into peanut paste in the end anyway. But its nice to read about what I should have done ... if only I had thought some more :crazyeye:

Hi Peanut! It's been over four years. Welcome back :wavey:

Well, hi all, I tried some GOTM from Civ 4 but then I wanted to play with my father on the same PC.
Then after 3 refused games I gave up. The third game I played alone and had no reason to be denied.

I'm really really anxious to play some good GOTM. Got the 7 but to late. So I'm waiting for the 8.

Meanwhile, I'll say that we definetely should have one or another game with a fixed VC, I'm pretty sure some people would never play for some of the VC and that it would be just fun having everyone for once trying all the same thing. We may learn much more of that particular VC.

That might serve you well in the Civ 5 world ... for some it seems their appreciation for Civ 5 is inversely proportional to the amount of Civ 4 they've played. ;)

Welcome to CivFanatics and GoTM. :wavey:

Why not try a game where the aim is the highest points win when game times out in 2050?
We could do that if enough players wished to try it. Many players find it boring to play until 2050, you may find it called milking for score (maximizing score) in other places within the forums.

Let's see what others have to say? :hmm:

I'd rather keep trying to win fast. I already know how to win slow.

But I'd be open to having this as a victory condition say once for every twice the other VC's are cycled.

If we do that, perhaps we make it quick speed? :mischief: ;)

And darn well better enable Quick Combat... at least if you want me to be able to finish it before Civ VI is released.
