I just finished an AI Autoplay and wanted to share how great the AI is (especially in contrast to the incompetent CIV6 AI).

Started a CIV5 Vox Populi game with 6 AI. The Western Continent had 2 civs: China and Greece. The Eastern Continent has 4 civs: America, England, Russia, Mayans. I'm expecting the Eastern Continent to turn into a bloodbath among the 4 civs.

Ch1
Turns 1 to 33 (3880 BC to 2020 BC): All 6 civs spend this time clearing out the vast majority of barbarians and their encampments. By Turn 31 (2140 BC) Greece is the first to have 2 cities. America establishes its second city by Turn 33 (2020 BC).

Ch2:
Turn 97 to 101 (710 to 820 AD): The Romans mass 1 infantry, 2 cavalry, and 2 siege divisions and direct them west towards the Russian city of Yaroslavl. The Russians can only muster an infantry and cavalry division a piece to counter the Romans. The Roman and Russian cavalry skirmish, with the Romans getting the better of the encounter (it helps when one of the Roman cavalry divisions is comprised of War Elephants).

Further south, the Romans assemble 1 infantry, 1 archer, and 1 cavalry division near the city of Antium and march them east towards the Russian city St. Petersburg. The Russians send 1 cavalry and 1 archer division a piece to meet the Romans. The Roman cavalry division (war elephants) trample the Russian archer division beneath the feet of the their pachyderms.

Even further south, the Romans send 3 cavalry and 1 siege division against the Russian city Novgorod, which in turn offers up 1 cavalry and 1 siege division in defense.

Meanwhile, the Chinese muster 2 infantry divisions and 2 archer divisions near Shanghai and look to march west towards the Greek city of Knossos, which has 1 archer division garrisoned within the city. The Chinese launch their assault on the Greek city and its infantry garrison. In response, the Greeks call in 2 archer divisions and 1 naval squadron for fire support. The Greeks manage to nearly wipe out an entire Chinese infantry division that was at the gates of Knossos. The Greek city is safe ... for now.

Not to be outdone, the Americans muster 2 siege divisions and 1 infantry division at Boston and look to march north towards the English city Canterbury, which has 2 infantry divisions in proximity. The Americans send 2 naval squadrons to harass the British troops.

Further south, the British send 1 infantry and 2 cavalry divisions from the city of York westwards towards the American city Philadelphia, which also has 1 infantry and 2 cavalry divisions of its own.

Turn 101 to 108 (820 AD to 960 AD):

PHILADELPHIA (USA)
England uses 1 siege and 1 infantry division to attack the American city Philadelphia. The Americans send in 3 infantry divisions from the north to help relieve the siege (and destroy 1 half-strength English infantry division in the process). The English launch their assault and destroy 1 American cavalry division. The American city defenses retaliate and manage to destroy 1 English cavalry division at the city gates.

NOVOGOROD (RUS)
The Russians use 2 cavalry divisions to destroy 1 Roman siege division.

CHENGDU (CHN)
The Greeks attack the Chinese city with 3 infantry and 1 cavalry division. One Chinese infantry division catches a Greek infantry division out of place and attacks it. The Greeks counterattack with infantry.

ST PETERSBURG (RUS)
The Romans attack from the West with 1 infantry, 2 cavalry, 1 archer, and 1 siege division. In response, the Russians pull together 4 infantry and 1 cavalry division, plus the cities own defenses. The Romans commence to bombard the city with ranged attacks. Russian cavalry manage to drive off 1 archer division but lose half their forces in the process.

KNOSSOS (GRC)
The Chinese attack the Greek city again but with an even greater force this time around (4 infantry, 1 cavalry). The Greeks can only muster 1 infantry and 1 archer division.

YAROSLAVL (RUS)
The Romans send a small force (1 infantry, 1 archer) against the Russian town (2 cavalry divisions but 1 is at half-strength). The Romans easily destroy the weakened Russian cavalry division.
