CivAddiction’s Multiplayer Modpack – CP+CSD+C4DF+Serp’s+And More!

Go into the MP_MODSPACK\Override\CIV5Units.xml file and search for the GAMEOPTION_PLAGUE_DISABLED entry. Change SupportsMultiplayer variable to true. You will now see that option appear in the multiplayer load screen (not sure if it'll work, but let me know if it does). On a side note, you could probably also enable the other two game options below it as well. Be sure that whenever you make such changes that all players are making those changes as well

Where do I get Serp's Modpack to get Enhanced User Interface?? I read the comment saying that its not compatible but its in Serps pack.

Before I say anything, thanks a bunch for making such a fantastic modpack!

Problem is, I can't seem to make it work in a multiplayer game with my friend. I've followed the instructions to the letter; cleared cache, extracted the folder into Assets/DLC, and then applied the CSD patch into City-State Diplomacy Mod (CSD) for Brave New World (v 27)\Assets\UI\InGame!

When I host a game, we can start it normally and it starts without a problem. However, the mods don't actually show up and it's as if I am hosting an unmodded vanilla game.

What am I doing wrong?
 
Did anodyne experienced CTD, when starting the game from "Custom start", when countries are picked up and type of map is selected I click on start and then the game crashes. I 've cleared the cache as described.

Is it correct that I need to download only version 2 and its patch ?
 
I have abandoned Community Patch for just the Combined DLL and its working flawlessly. Only weird thing is that I wasn't able to set up a Local Network game. It would revert to an Internet game even if I select Local Network. That said, there are zero desyncs in the net_message_debug.log and no errors in LUA or XML so far in my test multiplayer game. I was even able to restore the Great Diplomat functionality of CSD. I have added a few more PickNMix mods to restore some of the changes that came along with Community Patch. So far everything is working great and if everything continues to work, I'll upload what I've got.

The CP is still deep in development in terms of MP support, so this was a good move. Keep in mind you are losing the bulk of AI improvements, but for MP (if all players are human) that's not a big deal. Once the CP is MP stable (or as stable as VMC etc.) it might be worthwhile looking into again.

Hi Gazebo, thanks for visiting the thread. I have been following the improvements that the CP team is making to get CP as MP stable as possible. Thank you for your hard work! VMC isn't perfect and there are still desyncs and CTDs that occur even with that. When I switched from CP to WMC, I was trying to replicate the stability that Serp had with VMC as the base of his modpack but it seems that I still get more desyncs and CTDs in my modpack than he does (although admittedly improved from CP).

That said, I haven't had time to work on the modpack recently. I won't rule out a look at it in the future, but I'm taking a hiatus on this project for now. Thanks everyone for your comments and support!
 
Really great modpack. Me and my friend love to play civ 5 multiplayer on a standard map. We set this modpack up and have played it the last two nights without any problems. We really love it. Is there any way to make the CPU more aggressive tho? We dont really like playing full Humans but the ai is so lack luster we always end up quitting. after about 3 hours or so. Could an Aggression mod be added to this mod pack? JDH Active AI would be awesome too.

Anyway thanks for the mod pack. Its still way better than before.
 
Is it possible to had JFD civs and how? I tried a lot of things and those civs never show up in the menus.
 
I've downloaded the mod but when I want to play with my brother through LAN network my brother can't find my game when I host it. If I host the game without mod everything is ok, we can join. What am I doing wrong?

I've been playing with this modpack with a friend of mine for a few days and it's been working perfectly! We introduced a third person to it, however, and when we play with him we all desync/ctd pretty much every other turn after the 2nd. The same thing occurs even if I play exclusively with the third person indicating it's on their end.

The issue completely goes away if we disable barbarians or delete the modpack.

I have also been having this problem. I'm not sure what the cause is, but we've tried going back versions without success. Does anyone know what might be causing it?

Is it possible to remove the farm replacement mod completely?
I deleted it from the main mod's folder, but there are still new farm graphics.
 
Let's start by saying that I love this mod, thanks for putting it together.
However, I stumbled upon an annoying bug: sometimes, when a city tells me that it will grow in e.g. 8 turns, after I hit 'next turn' this 8 turns briefly changes into 9 turns, and back into 8 turns again at the start of the next turn. So, effectively city growth is halted. This may go on forever (!), it may happen to one or more cities, it happens in SP as well as MP. As in-game I could not do anything about it, it forces me to quit (fun is gone). After some searching I found that this is caused by the function ConvertHealthToFood in the file Plague_Main.lua in directory ...MP_MODSPACK\Mods\Health & Plague for BNW (v 19)\Lua. I did not bother to debug this function, but just prevented it from executing by commenting (deleting works too) line 44 in Plague_Main.lua. This solved my problem. FYI.
(Btw: I do get the idea behind this function and it may be fun if it works correctly. If someone is interested in debugging this: it also happens when my health is displayed as 0%).

This mod is no longer active (hasn't been for some time now)! Thanks everyone for your support.
There is a new effort at making a flawless multiplayer modpack over at Community Patch. I've tried it out and its amazingly stable compared to previous efforts. Perhaps once they've ironed out the kinks there, I will revisit this mod using that as a base. As it was, there was no solving the desyncs and errors without the serious programming ability of someone like Gazebo over at Community Patch.

Please give it a try by following this link.
