Hi,

I've got a question on the new production overrun alert. I presume it would sum up end wastage on a project when continuing this way. So it would be some portion of the per turn investment at this point.

I get however production overruns of more than 100%. How can this be, or does it means something else.

EDIT: In the attached save, please look at Niagara Falls which has an overrun of 125%. In game though I still need some turns.
That's odd: it says you've collected 68 shields when the market requires 50 shields. I think it's giving discounts to commercial buildings.

It's probably the discount issue. In game I collected 68 shields, but need a total of 100. So the only number that's off is the required shields in CAII.

So, I'll guess this means i'll be on lookout for a new, update. ;)

Speaking of updates, I just noticed that CAII is now listed 3 times in my "Add/Remove programs" screen from the control panel. Is there something you can do about this?

AHH! I'm getting frusterated, Im probabyl the worst at Computer's here, I keep trying to Install the NET. Framework that you said was needed to run the program, and I have it downloaded and everything, it just won't Install Properly, it always fails to install...What am I doing wrong??

Thanks

EDIT:Installed it already and got it working, third times the charm :D But now when I download a Dg save it says that acsess to some file is denied.....

OK - I'm on vacation for a week, but if you post here what the save file that has "access denied" is, then someone might be able to help.

How did you try opening it? YOu can download the DG save to your desktop, start civassist, then use the "pick file" button to load the save.

I'm not finding the "highlight Shielded Forests" option very helpful. There is a small change in the tile graphic, but it's not terribly noticeable. I use Warpstorm's Watercolor terrain: could this be part of my problem? Image attached. (It's noticeable when you switch from off to on, but not at a first glance.)

Looks pretty obvious to me, do you have any red/green colour blindness? I can see that it would be a problem then.

It would be useful to have an indication on tiles that could be forested for 10 shields but do not currently have forests on them.

edit: Ranger99 solved the problem - he needed to install the C3C 1.22 patch as he didn't have C3C.

That would be it, then :D So maybe an option/change of colour for those of us who have chromatically challenged vision, then?

I like this program and use it. But does it have a flip calc? I can't seem to find.

If not, it would be great if you added one! :D

On the cities tab, select a city and it shows flip calc. data at the bottom.

thank you thank you

Thanks again for a great tool, it's just marvellous.

However (you knew that was coming ;)) I have a bug report with the latest version of CAII (2089). The current trades tab no longer shows all ongoing trades, and some of those that are shown have been bundled together in erroneous ways. I would guess that this is a general problem, it's the same with all of my games, but if you need a particular save just PM me and I'll give you one (won't post them since they are spoilerish). :)

Another bug, which seems to exist in at least 2024 as well, is that corruption is not computed correctly, at least for small maps (have the problem in SGOTM8 and both GotM46 and 47, small maps all of them). In general the reported corruption rates are lower than the actual ones, which could suggest that you don't take map size into account?

And finally, a question. Sometimes when I fire up CAII before starting Civ, CAII gets stuck in "Manual Mode" and won't read the new autosaves when I start playing. I generally have to restart CAII to get it to start in lookout mode. How can I switch between these modes manually?

To answer your question about SGOTMs and the GOTMs map sizes error, it may be because of the "world size bug". Since they are all customized maps made in the editor, I would not be suprised if this is the culprit.

Hmm, that seems weird. If CAII reports what would have been the correct values, that would mean that the creators of all those games played tiny games before creating those scenarios, since the corruption is generally higher than what CAII says it should be. It may be though, I guess I should do some calculations against the formulas to see what the "correct" values should be.

This looks like a great tool. However i have a big problem with the alerts; there aren't any. The 'alert window' is always empty. Is there something in particular i have to do to make the alerts appear? I am used to CivAssist (I) where i just click the 'Show Alerts' button, and the alerts are shown right away.

I am usinger version 2.0.2089

Not sure Niklas, I'll let ainwood answer.

Salte, make sure you go to the "Alerts" tab (not the popup alert box) and click to make sure you have alerts selected to be shown.

Hey guys,

I just installed CIV on a new pc and I went to page 1 of this thread to download CivAssist II and at the "download here" link I get a web page cannot be displayed. Any ideas?
